Workers get Fed Govt’s May Day gift
The Federal Government yesterday announced the 25% to 35% increment in the salary structure of civil servant on six Consolidated Salary Structures.
Mr. Emmanuel Njoku, Head of Press at the NSIWC, said: “The Federal Government has approved an increase of between 25 per cent and 35 per cent in salary for civil servants on the remaining six consolidated salary structures. They include:

• Consolidated Research and Allied Institutions Salary Structure (CONRAISS),
• Consolidated Police Salary Structure (CONPOSS).
• Consolidated Para-military Salary Structure (CONPASS),

Also, the Federal Government okayed 28% increase for the pensioners on the Defined Benefits Scheme with respect to the above-mentioned six consolidated salary structures with effect from 1st January 2024.
