4 years after Ajimobi passage

The inevitable death took away the former governor of Oyo state Senator Isaiq Abiola Ajimobi on Thursday at a 20th of June 2020 at a private hospital in Lagos after spending weeks in intensive care for coronavirus complications.

The former governor is known for being blunt and unreserved. Late Ajimobi who died at the age of 70 broke his family jinx of reaching the age.

Also the late governor was the first governor to be elected twice to the office of Governor of Oyo state.

• No break speeches: in an interview with BBC after the demolition of Fresh FM, late Ajimobi publicly called Dr Yinka Ayefele an armed robber and used his disability to mock him. Also at a birthday party of a monarch, late Ajimobi insulted the crown.
