Paris 2024: Super Falcons qualifies after 16 years abscence

The Super Falcons of Nigeria has broken the 16 years jinx of not participating at any of the olympic tournaments after playing a goaless draw with the Bayanabayan of South Africa on Tuesday at Pretoria stadium.

The first leg at the Moshood Abiola stadium in Abuja ended in a lone goal to nothing in favour of the Falcons. With the courtesy of goal from the Falcons skipper Rasheedat Ajibade, who shot in to the net from the penalty spot.

The Falcons have only previously played at the Olympics in 2000, 2004 and 2008. The 2024 Olympics is slated to take place in Paris, France, from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
