Eid: Federal Government extends holiday to Thursday for celebration.
The Ministry of Interior through the Permanent Secretary Dr. Aushetu Nayak on Tuesday announced that the Federal Government of Nigeria extends the Eid-el Fitr celebration to Thursday, April 11.
The announcement, which was shared via the ministry’s official communication channel, highlighted the importance of recognizing Eid-El-Fitr and providing an opportunity for citizens to commemorate the religious occasion.
Recalled that the ministry announced Tuesday and Wednesday as Eid-el Fitr holidays, but the moon was not sighted on Monday and this calls for announcement of Thursday April 11 as additional holiday for the celebration.
